Muslims think extremely of Jesus (pbuh) and his worthy mother( Mary). The Holy- Quran tells us that Jesus(pbuh)was born of a miraculous birth without a father. “Lo! The likeness of Jesus with Allah swt is the likeness of Adam(pbuh). He made him of dust, and then He said unto him: Be and he is” (Holy-Quran 3.59). He was given many miracles as a prophet in islam. These include speaking in a short while after his birth in defense of his mother’s piety. ALLAH's other gifts to him included healing the blind and the sick, reviving the dead person, making a bird out of clay & most importantly, the message he was carrying. These miracles were given to him by ALLAH to establish him as a prophet in islam. According to the Holy-Quran, he was not crucified but was raised into Heaven9jannah). (Quran, Chapter Maryam)

8). Does Islam promote polygamy?

answer-

No, polygamy in the religion of Islam is a permission not an injunction. Historically, all the prophets of ALLAH except Jesus(pbuh), who did not married, had more than one wife. For Muslim person to have more than one wife is a permission which is given to them in the Holy-Quran, not to satisfy-lust, but for the welfare of the widows & the orphans of the wars. In the pre-Islamic time, men used to have many wives. One person had 11 wives and when he became a Muslim, he asked the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), “What should I do with so many wives?” and he replied, “Divorce all except  four(4).” The Quran tells, “you can marry 2 or 3 and up to 4 women if you can be equally just with each of them” Holy-Quran (4:3).  it is very difficult to be equally just with all wives, But in practice, most of the Muslim men don't have more than one wife. The  Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) himself from age 24- 50 was married to only one woman, (Khadija).

answer-

No. Islam raised the status of women 1,400 years ago by giving them the right to divorce, the right to have financialy being independence and support and the right to be identified as dignified of women (Hijab) when in the rest of the world, in Europe, women had no this kind of  rights. ''Women are equal to men in all acts of piety'' (Holy-Quran 33:32). Islam allows women to keep their maiden name after they get married, they can earn money and spend it as they wish for, & they can  ask men to be their protector or maintainer as women on the street can be molested. Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said Muslim men, “the best among you are those who are the best to their wives.” Not Islam, but some Muslim men, do oppress women nowadays. It is  because of their cultural practice or their lack of knowledge about their religion.

10). How should Muslims treat Jews and Christians?

answer-

Muslims are ordered to treat them with respect and justice and  love & do not fight with them unless they initiate hostilities or ridicule their faith(imaan). The Muslims ultimate hope is that they all will join them in worshipping one God ALLAH and submit to His will.

ALLAH- says in Holy-Quran that
“Say (O Muhammad): Oh people of the Book (Jews & Christians) come to an agreement between us and you, that we shall worship none but Allah alone, and that we shall take no partners with ALLAH, and none of us should take others for Lords beside Allah. Butif they turn away,, then say: ''Bear witness that we are MUSLIMS(submitting to him).” (Holy-Quran 3:64)

So,What about Hindus, Bahai & Buddhists and members of other religions?
They should also be treated with love, respect, & kindnessand understanding to make them recipients of Invitations tothe religion of  Islam.“Allaah does not forbid you from those who do not fight you because of religion and do not expel you from your homes-from being righteous toward them and acting justly toward them.Indeed, Allaah loves those who deal with justly” [Holy-QURAN al-Mumtahanah 60:8].

And ALLAH knows best.
